One of the things I’ve enjoyed making with AI over the last few months are these custom apps that help me understand/remember something and that applies to the Bible too.

Reading through 1-2 Kings and 1-2 Chronicles I often get lost in terms of which king was who and the chronology. When reading the prophets I also often forget who that prophet is prophesying to (Northern or Southern kingdom) as well as the time periods. I made this app based on this table in the ESV Study Bible that captures:

The Line of Kings timeline from 1050 to 430 BC. Saul, David, and Solomon are followed by a row of red bars for the kings of Israel, ending at the fall of Samaria in 722 BC, and a row of green, gold, and red bars for the kings of Judah, ending at the exile. Bars for the prophets cluster near the end of each kingdom, and gray bars at the bottom mark the chapters of Kings and Chronicles that cover each reign.

The whole story, 1050–430 BC: Israel’s kings above Judah’s, their prophets above and below, and the chapters that tell each reign in gray along the bottom.

There is almost no friction now between creating, deploying and hosting your own custom applications!
